Description
Position Overview:
Lobster is a hybrid company: you can work from wherever you're based across our regions, and our offices in Tutzing (South of Munich) and Amsterdam are there whenever you'd like to be in one. We encourage applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of gender identity.
As Lobster grows across product, engineering, and commercial, we’re looking for a (Senior) Talent Acquisition Manager – Tech (m/f/x) to own talent acquisition across several hiring streams. Working closely with our Director of Engineering and Director of Product, you’ll turn team roadmaps into hiring plans, set role priorities, and keep recruiting in step with how fast the teams grow.
As our only internal talent acquisition go-to-person, you’ll work with a high degree of autonomy and the trust to shape how we hire.
You’ll run end-to-end recruitment across a mix of roles, primarily technical but on occasion supporting other business functions like sales, and operations, while acting as a trusted advisor to the hiring managers you partner with.
Beyond recruiting, you’ll pitch in on wider People & Culture projects, from onboarding to employer branding.
Ready to make an impact?
You’ll get to take ownership of:
- Running end-to-end recruitment for a range of roles across seniority levels and functions, from intake to offer.
- Owning and improving the hiring processes in your streams, making them faster and more candidate-focused with every iteration.
- Managing and developing external sourcing pipelines and vendor relationships, knowing when to leverage them and when to go direct.
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders: taking briefs, challenging requirements, and keeping expectations grounded in market realities.
- Providing data-driven guidance: tracking offer acceptance, pipeline efficiency, and time-to-hire, and acting on them, not just reporting.
- Shaping recruitment strategies and sourcing approaches for hard-to-fill or high-priority roles, including leadership hires.
- Leading and contributing to team-wide initiatives: employer branding, recruitment events, sourcing methodology, and process documentation.
What will you learn during your apprenticeship?:
We’d love to meet someone with:
- Solid experience in end-to-end technical recruiting, ideally within a scaling tech company or a fast-moving environment where process ownershipmattered.
- Proven ability to hire across multiple seniority levels, including senior engineers, managers, and leadership roles.
- Confidence advising hiring managers on benchmarks, compensation ranges, and candidate expectations-not just executing the process, but shaping it.
- Strong stakeholder management skills: able to run structured intake sessions, push back constructively, manage competing priorities, and keep multiple hiring streams moving in parallel.
- A data-oriented mindset-you track pipeline health, monitorkey metrics, and use them to make better decisions and have better conversations.
- Familiarity with GTM or business recruiting (sales, marketing, customer success) as a complement to your core technical recruiting experience.
- Comfort with the operational side of hiring: drafting employment contracts, coordinating onboarding steps, and owning the candidate experience from first contact to first day.
- A continuous improvement instinct-you document what works, fix whatdoesn't, and bring ideas to the table for the broader team.
- Experience with or genuine interest in leveraging AI tools to work more efficiently: smarter sourcing, faster screening, better candidate communications.
- Fluent in English; German or Dutch language skills are a strong plus.
We’d love to hear from you:
