Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute technical engineering for new apparatus compressor and aftermarket quotes, including airend-only, control panel-only, standard industrial units, air separation units, and engineered full units.
- Attend and support technical meetings for prospective projects, both virtually and in person.
- Generate aerodynamic selections based on customer requirements to determine appropriate frame sizes; collaborate with Product Engineering for customized aero solutions when needed.
- Develop Internal Price Build Ups (IPBU) using relevant tools, reflecting customer specifications and project scope.
- Review customer specifications to ensure compliance with standards, documentation, testing, and major purchase buyouts; coordinate with sub-vendors to confirm proposal compliance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Product Management to verify commercial terms, pricing adders, and payment conditions.
- Work with internal teams to establish pricing for non-standard customer requirements.
- Create comprehensive proposals including IPBU, scope of supply, preliminary outlines, P&ID, payment terms, and exceptions.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and specify technical requirements for specialty component procurement.
- Support Sales and Product Management in addressing scope and customer queries.
- Provide technical support for aftermarket products, including package upgrades, rerates, airend overhauls, control panels, and parts.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong commitment to quality, accountability, and urgency.
- Familiarity with API level applications specifically API 672 and 614 preferred.
- Experience with centrifugal compressors or other rotating equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with active listening ability.
- Collaborative interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and leadership.
- Proven problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
