Application Specialist - Billing - Healthcare (iPM and webPAS)

What you’ll achieve
As the Application Specialist - Billing, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for hospital billing within the Professional Services PAS team, supporting both iPM and webPAS applications.
This role encompasses a broad range of billing-related functions, including invoicing, receipting, IFC, ECLIPSE claiming, bulk billing, general ledger (GL) extracts, MBS and prostheses schedules, and health fund contract administration.
You will be responsible for:
- Interpreting hospital health fund agreements and, ensuring accurate configuration and maintenance of contract data within iPM and webPAS billing solutions.
- Formatting, validating and loading billing-related reference data, including Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) fee schedules, prosthetics schedules, and other billing datasets required to support accurate billing and claiming processes within iPM and webPAS.
- Contributing to Implementation Planning Studies with a focus on hospital billing requirements within PAS solutions.
- Delivery of billing-related components for iPM and/or webPAS implementations, working closely with project teams and customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Providing billing configuration expertise and process guidance to customers as part of smaller project engagements and consulting activities.
- Investigating, documenting, and assisting in the resolution of software issues identified during project delivery and hyper care periods.
- Delivering customer training on hospital billing functionality, including health fund Contract Management processes.
- Collaborating with Product, Development, Support, and Professional Services teams to support ongoing product improvements and customer outcomes.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in hospital billing, patient administration, or healthcare information systems, preferably within private healthcare environments.
- Demonstrated experience with hospital billing processes, including invoicing, receipting, claiming, health fund billing, contract management, Medicare and ECLIPSE claiming
- Experience interpreting and administering healthcare provider agreements and contracts, including translating contractual requirements into system configurations and billing rules.
- Experience managing billing-related datasets, including MBS schedules, prostheses schedules, healthcare provider contract data, and other healthcare billing reference data.
- Experience using Patient Administration Systems (PAS), ideally including iPM and/or webPAS.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience delivering customer training, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions to end users and stakeholders.
- Exposure to tender responses, pre-sales activities, or solution demonstrations
- Technical skills such as SQL scripting, AWS, Copilot, SharePoint and Service Now.
