The SAP Sell and Retain Applications Analyst is responsible for requirements definition, application analysis and functional design of new solutions as well as on performing operational system support within the Sales side of SAP SD, effectively working with Air Products Business groups. You will be a member of our global Digital Technology Team supporting the suite of applications that fall into the Sell & Retain team.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is responsible for the following:
- Provide technical and functional direction in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment, maintenance, bug fixes, and enhancements related to customer and order-to-cash functionality within SAP. This includes the ability to understand SAP SD business processes, translate business needs into practical system solutions, evaluate impacts across SAP and integrated applications, perform or guide configuration, write detailed functional specifications, define and execute testing, support production deployments, troubleshoot incidents, and clearly communicate options, risks, and recommendations to business and DT stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with SAP ABAP and cross-functional technical teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
- Partner with Change and Release Management to ensure effective representation, coordination and compliance throughout the change and release lifecycle
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to support the successful delivery of project milestones and deliverables
- Actively participate in solution design sessions and program‑level functional design reviews
- Leverage functional expertise to guide end users on alternative solution options, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement by optimizing services and work processes, improving solution quality and reliability and reducing total cost of ownership
- Deliver and support existing application services through effective incident, problem and change management while ensuring SLA compliance
- Provide rotational on‑call support coverage as required
- Manage SAP background job scheduling, including additions and changes and coordinate with the IT Batch Management and scheduler team.
- Maintain existing services, resolve incidents and problem management, and meet SLAs, and provide rotational on-call coverage.
