As a Security Officer -Visitor Management in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and help deter security-related incidents. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, common areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized entry, unusual activity, and facility concerns.
- Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining confidentiality of site operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
