Machine Shop Maintenance Mechanic (Entry Level)

Overview

Machine Shop Maintenance Mechanic 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain proper coolant mixture and levels in all machinery in the shipyard (i.e. Machine shop, R&D,    Pipe shop,etc.)
• Change machine coolant and dispose of all hazardous waste generated
• Change filters
• Check and maintain oil levels
• Part of a team to in perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on all major equipment

Qualifications

Required:

• HS Diploma / GED OR 2+ years of related technical experience
• 2 - 5 years of mechanical experience
• 2 - 5 years experience working around operating equipment
• Available to work all shifts and to support overtime as needed

• Basic tool applications and use
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from policies and procedures
