Appliance Installation Technician
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused Appliance Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will deliver, install, and set up residential appliances while ensuring each installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Successful candidates take pride in their workmanship, communicate professionally with customers, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver and install residential appliances, including refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other household equipment.
Connect appliances to the appropriate electrical, water, gas, and ventilation systems when applicable.
Verify proper operation by testing equipment after installation.
Identify and resolve minor installation or operational concerns while onsite.
Explain appliance features, operation, and basic maintenance to customers.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional customer service during every visit.
Keep work areas clean and remove installation debris as required.
Communicate installation updates with dispatch, supervisors, and team members.
Complete installation paperwork, electronic documentation, and required reports accurately.
Follow all company safety procedures, transportation guidelines, and customer service standards.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least two years of experience in appliance installation, delivery, construction, plumbing, electrical work, or a related trade is preferred.
Working knowledge of basic appliance installation techniques.
Ability to safely lift, carry, and move large appliances using proper equipment and lifting procedures.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
Valid North Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work overtime or extended hours based on customer and business needs.
Preferred Experience
Technical training or certification in appliance installation or a related skilled trade.
Experience installing gas appliances and understanding applicable safety practices.
Familiarity with residential construction standards and local code requirements.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and move appliances weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance or proper equipment.
Stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the workday.
Work in residential homes and occasionally in commercial environments under varying conditions.
