Graduate Security Consultant / Penetration Tester

Modux was voted Cyber Security Consultancy of the Year in 2025. We are looking for a highly motivated Graduate Security Consultant & Penetration Tester to join our expert team. Location: At our office in Bristol. Type: Full-Time Job Summary: As a Graduate Security Consultant & Penetration Tester at Modux, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clients in identifying, mitigating, and managing security risks. This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates with a passion for cybersecurity and a desire to kick-start their career in the field. You will work closely with our senior security consultants, receive mentorship, and have access to training and development opportunities to accelerate your growth in the cybersecurity industry. Key Tasks:
● conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on client systems, networks, and applications.
● participate in penetration testing exercises to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in client systems, with guidance and supervision.
● analyse security risks and provide recommendations to clients for improving their security posture.
● stay up-to-date with relevant security regulations and compliance standards and help clients ensure adherence.
● prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings, assessments, and recommended security measures.
● communicate security findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
● assist in incident response activities and incident handling procedures ● continuously enhance your knowledge of cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques to
contribute to the team's effectiveness.
Applicant Qualifications:
● A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM discipline. ● Strong interest in and understanding of technology and information security concepts. ● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Effective communication and presentation skills. ● Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently on client sites. ● A strong willingness to learn. ● Any relevant certifications or internships in the field of cybersecurity or computer science
