Energy Driver

The Fuel/Propane Driver is responsible for delivering product via bobtail to our farmers, residential, commercial and oil field customers in an efficient and courteous manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws. Overtime available with-in limits of DOT regulations.
• Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations for hauling bulk liquid products.
• Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; fill empty customer tanks of all sizes by pulling the hose from the truck to the tank location.
• Pick up and deliver product to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, using specialized equipment when warranted; returns all equipment to designated area.
• Achieve delivery objectives set by the management team.
• Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.
• Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include pre-trip checks, checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions to manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
• Ability to remain focused in busy environment.
• Ability to use laptop/software programs/ ELog

Education and Experience:

• Must hold required commercial driver’s license class A or B with Hazmat, tanker, air brakes endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations. 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time. 
• Work outside in varying weather/driving conditions.
