Asphalt Paving Operator

## Tasks

Hyatt Paving is seeking a skilled and dependable Paving Operator with a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in asphalt paving operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating paving equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity on commercial, municipal, and roadway projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Operate asphalt paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, and related machinery.

• Assist with proper setup, alignment, and calibration of paving equipment prior to operation.

• Monitor material flow and mat consistency to ensure smooth, even application.

• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.

• Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.

• Work closely with crew members to ensure timely and accurate project completion.

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.

• Maintain a clean and organized job site.

**Qualifications:**

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience operating asphalt paving equipment.

• Strong understanding of paving techniques, grade control, and surface requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret site plans and grade stakes preferred.

• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required).

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in hot environments and around heavy machinery.
