Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Test Engineer located in Guadalajara North (Flex Guadalajara – FLG).

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, supporting, and improving functional test solutions to ensure product quality, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• May develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.
• Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector.
• Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Several years of hands‑on experience as a Test Engineer in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
• Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and cross‑functional global teams.
• Programming experience in Python.
• C++ experience is a strong plus.
• Experience developing and deploying test solutions for NPI and volume manufacturing.
• Experience developing instrument drivers and diagnostic tests.
• Ability to design, debug, and support functional test hardware, computer platforms, and system interfaces.
• Experience developing test plans, validation strategies, and detailed test procedures.
• Proven experience coordinating and managing third‑party vendors for test development, fixture design, and system enhancements.
• Ability to identify and propose hardware and system improvement opportunities for functional test equipment.
• Experience generating cost estimates and quotations for test hardware and software solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with a structured, data‑driven mindset.
• Strong hands‑on experience with functional test equipment and customized test stations.
