Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Designer at Accelleron, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and documentation of turbocharger components from concept through manufacturing. You'll work closely with international teams across the product lifecycle, ensuring robust and high-quality designs. Ideal candidates will have experience with rotating machinery and strong CAD skills, particularly in Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and support for quality assurance processes.

Werden Sie Teil unseres globalen Teams „Produktentwicklung für Axial Turbolader“ und gestalten Sie die Konstruktion modernster, robuster Turbolader für anspruchsvolle Motoranwendungen mit. Mit Sitz in Baden, Schweiz, tragen Sie aktiv zur Entwicklung von Lösungen bei, die Emissionen reduzieren und die Energieeffizienz im Transport- und Marinebereich steigern.

Wir suchen einen proaktiven Designer, der Freude an Konstruktionsarbeiten hat und sich neben den täglichen Aufgaben auch gerne praxisnahen Herausforderungen stellt – über den gesamten Produktlebenszyklus hinweg.

Als Senior R&D Designer sind Sie verantwortlich für die mechanische Konstruktion und Dokumentation von Turboladerkomponenten über den gesamten Produktlebenszyklus – von der Konzeptphase bis zur Fertigungsunterstützung und Servicebereitschaft. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen und bereichsübergreifenden Teams sorgen Sie dafür, dass unsere Produkte höchste Anforderungen an Robustheit, Qualität und langfristige Leistungsfähigkeit erfüllen.

Ihre Verantwortung:

  • Konstruktion (2D/3D) und Produktdokumentation für technologisch herausragende und robuste Turboladerprodukte

  • Mitarbeit an Produktentwicklungs- und Änderungsmanagementprozessen mit Konstruktionsaufgaben über den gesamten Produktlebenszyklus

  • Konstruktionsverantwortung für einzelne Aufgaben und Projektaktivitäten

  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Produktgruppen entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette in internationalen und interkulturellen Teams (Projektmanagement, Basisentwicklung, Einkauf, Fertigung und Service)

  • Unterstützung bei Erstbemusterungen und Qualitätsfreigaben unserer asiatischen Kooperationspartner

  • Mitarbeit am Qualitätsicherungsprozess einschließlich der Bearbeitung von Abweichungen

Ihr Profil:

  • Abschluss in Maschinenbau, Konstruktion oder vergleichbare Qualifikation (MSc, BSc, Techniker)

  • Mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung im Maschinenbau- bzw. Konstruktionsbereich – idealerweise mit rotierenden Maschinen, Turbomaschinen oder Motorbauteilen.

  • Fundierte Kenntnisse im Umgang mit 3D-CAD-Tools (vorzugsweise Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE)

  • Kenntnisse im Umgang mit modernen ERP-Systemen (idealerweise SAP)

  • Ausgeprägte Problemlösungskompetenz sowie Eigeninitiative und Verantwortungsbewusstsein

  • Teamorientierung, Aufgeschlossenheit und gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten

  • Sichere Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

Join our global team of «Product Development for Axial Turbochargers» and contribute to the design of cutting-edge and robust turbochargers engineered for demanding engine applications. Based in Baden, Switzerland, you will hereby actively contribute to the development of solutions that help reduce emissions and boost energy efficiency in transport and marine industries.

We’re looking for a proactive designer who enjoys design work and is eager to engage with real-world challenges besides day-to-day tasks - spanning the entire product lifecycle.

As a Senior R&D Designer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and documentation of turbocharger components throughout the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept to manufacturing support and service readiness. In close collaboration with international and cross-functional teams, you’ll help ensure that our products meet high standards of robustness, quality, and long-term performance.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design (2D/3D) and product documentation for cutting-edge and robust turbocharger products

  • Being part of product development and change management processes with design tasks all over the product life cycle

  • Design responsibility for individual tasks and project activities

  • Cooperate closely with product groups across the whole value chain in international and intercultural teams (project management, base development, procurement, manufacturing and service)

  • Support for the first article and quality standard approvals of our Asian cooperation partners

  • Being part of the quality assurance process including resolution of non-conformances

Your profile:

  • Degree in mechanical design or engineering (MSc, BSc, Technician or equivalent)

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design - ideally with rotating machinery, turbomachinery, or engine components

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (preferably Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE)

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (ideally SAP)

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and sense of ownership

  • Team-oriented and open-minded with good communication skills

  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)
