Description
Role Responsibilities:
- Own design and development for new and existing chambers, develop system level understanding working with different functional experts
- Develop or modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications of difficult scope
- Expertise in modeling of fluid flow, gas delivery systems and thermodynamics
- Good expertise in linear and non-linear structural and thermal analysis using FEA
- Good understanding of material science
- Understanding of RF delivery and plasma is a big plus
- Technically lead or execute projects; develop key suppliers and generate mechanical product specifications
- Specify and review engineering documentation
- Implement concepts for a variety of complex product issues and mechanical solutions
- Clearly communicate complex or sensitive information; build consensus
Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- 4-7 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience with CAD software, conjugate heat transfer modeling, CFD analysis for low pressure fluid flow, FEA analysis for linear and non-linear structural issues, thermodynamics, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles
- Knowledge of product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection and manufacturing methods
