The Role
The ideal candidate must possess hands-on experience to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms across multi-cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform and AWS). This role will work closely with analytics, BI, and product teams to ensure data is reliable, secure, and analytics-ready.
Your Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines across GCP and AWS

Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes for structured and semi-structured data

Develop and manage data models optimised for analytics and reporting use cases

Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, cloud storage, and third-party platforms

Ensure data quality, consistency, performance, and reliability

Collaborate with BI, Analytics, and Engineering teams to support reporting and insights

Implement and maintain data security, access controls, and governance standards

Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and improve system performance

Contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modelling
- Hands-on experience with GCP (e.g. BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow) and AWS (e.g. S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda)
- Experience building and maintaining batch and/or streaming data pipelines
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Experience with Python or similar scripting languages

Exposure to workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)

Experience supporting BI or reporting tools (e.g. Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI)

Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD practices for data platforms

Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive environment
