Your Role: Machine Shop - Operations Manager
Reporting To : COE Turbine Shop
- Drive and coordinate the execution with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality.
- Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.
- Demonstrate appropriate leadership behavior to guide the team and standard work.
- Drive nuclear safety culture awareness in shop floor.
- Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline, ensure maximum efficiency and productivity as well as minimization of delays.
- Leads and coaches team members in a positive manner to maximize their potential and their contributions to key performance goals for the company.
- Assists in production scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of equipment and people for best possible results
- Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations
- Closely work with Process engineer for any improvement on current manufacturing process/new upcoming projects
- Identify training need of the team based on the skill assessment and new project requirement.
- Control, Organize, monitor production operations as per plan, implement corrective action as necessary. Make recovery plan for delays, implement, and ensure targets agreed are achieved
- Ensure correct allocation of resources to make the Lean concepts deployment a success, make problems visible, and allow problem solving to take place.
- Lead and guide the team to develop & execute objectives for self & others with alignment to short-term & long-term business goals of the organization.
- Mobilize onsite support and new development whenever needed
- Responsible for EHS & 5S in the respective area of the shop
- Responsible for execution cost (estimate Vs actual)
- Active participation in FMEA meetings and ensure all relevant risks are identified and mitigated before execution of process
- Identify training need of the team based on the skill assessment and new project requirement.
Basic Qualifications(requirements):
- Degree in Mechanical engineering
- MBA Operations (Preferable)
- Min 15 year experience in Machine shop and Assembly Shop
- Well convergent with SAP/Microsoft Office tools
