Overview
As a Wine Advisor at Save-On-Foods, you'll share your wine knowledge with customers, provide recommendations on tastings and food pairings, and conduct product demonstrations to engage customers. You'll ensure the wine department is well-stocked and presented attractively, handle customer service inquiries, and maintain a positive customer experience. The role requires being 19 years or older and having (or willingness to obtain) Serving It Right Certification. This is a customer-facing retail position with flexible availability up to 40 hours per week. We are hiring for a Wine Advisor at our location in Westbank, BC.
For this position, you must be 19 years of age or older.
Up to 40 hours per week.
Open availability is preferred.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing customers with information about various specially selected wines and making recommendations on tastings and food pairings when required.
- Providing demonstrations on various wine products to engage customers.
- Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members.
- Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented.
- Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
- Using a variety of equipment, including knives.
You have:
- Serving It Right Certification or willingness to obtain it.
- A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
- A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
- Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
- Retail customer service experience (considered an asset).

Compensation Details:
$18.25 - $21.00The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
