Lab and Facility Operations Engineer – MEMS

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lab and Facility Operations Engineer to support a growing MEMS R&D lab transitioning toward early operations.

Working closely with a small team of hands-on R&D engineers, this role combines engineering ownership of lab and facility operations with direct, hands-on operation of assembly and test tools. You will ensure that the lab environment, infrastructure, and equipment are reliable, safe, and ready for daily execution, while actively contributing to assembly and test activities in an early operations setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day readiness of the MEMS lab and cleanroom.

• Coordinate lab infrastructure, utilities, access, and vendors.

• Support equipment installation, maintenance, and issue resolution.

• Establish core lab operations basics (onboarding, SOPs, consumables).

• Operate assembly and test tools hands-on as needed.

• Ensure EHS compliance and prepare the lab for scale-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience, with 3+ years in cleanroom, lab, facilities, or equipment operations.

• Hands-on experience operating lab or production tools, including lab build-out, tool installation, and vendor coordination.

• Working knowledge of lab infrastructure (power, HVAC, vacuum, gases).

• English required; basic knowledge of Dutch required.

• Experience in MEMS or semiconductor environments and exposure to pilot-line or early operations are a plus.

Salary Range:

€50.400,00 - €69.300,00


The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
