Senior Test Specialist – Key Applications (f/m/d) - (Contract through our external payroll partner with immediate start until for 12 months with possible extension)

We are seeking a Senior Test Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, execute and overseeing all testing activities to ensure software quality, compliance, and successful delivery within project timelines.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Plans, designs, executes, and oversees software testing activities across different applications

• Defines test strategies, coordinates test environments, and ensures defect tracking

• Collaborates with development, business analysts, and project managers to align testing with project goals

• Manages functional, regression, and non-functional testing processes

• Coordinates test environment usage

• Supports test automation coverage and capability for automated regression testing

• Ensures compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices

• Leads and mentors test team members, promoting continuous improvement in test efficiency and coverage

YOUR PROFILE

• 3+ years’ proven track record as a hands-on Senior Test Engineer/Manager or Testing Lead in complex IT transformation projects

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM)

• Experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and performance testing tools

• Solid knowledge of financial systems, e.g. regulatory reporting, risk reporting, and similar (preferred)

• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, PMP, or Agile Testing are highly desirable

• Understanding of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD and the importance and value of automated testing

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Willingness to learn new ways of working while supporting Julius Baer in its transformation

• You take pride in your work and strive to lead by example

• Cross-cultural mindset, empathy, and can-do spirit

• Fast learner with understanding of business context

• Able to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders

• Fluent in English; German is a nice-to-have

• Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot, SQL (Oracle), React/Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kubernetes (PKS) and Virtual Machines, Streaming using Kafka, Avro, OpenAPI, UML
