As a full-time Outpatient Occupational Therapist (OT), you will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs that help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. You'll be an integral part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, while also providing leadership and oversight to OT Assistants, technicians, and support staff.
- Sign-On Bonus: $17,500.
- Relocation Assistance: $5,000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized, goal-driven occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aligned with each patient's functional needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the broader interdisciplinary care team.
- Delegate and supervise the work of Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs), technicians, and other support staff.
- Accurately document patient progress and input data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Utilize and maintain familiarity with rehabilitation equipment and adaptive devices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and facility standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (or higher).
- Licensure: Active Texas OT license — or eligibility for Texas licensure (new grads welcome!).
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for designated drivers per facility policy.
- Tech Skills: Ability to input and manage data in computer programs.
