The Role and Impact
Join Intel as an AI Software Engineering PhD Intern and unlock the potential of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AI software solutions, including algorithms, frameworks, and architectures across domains such as computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. Your hands-on work will focus on implementing and tuning models for performance and accuracy, applied research, and hardware-software integration, directly influencing Intel's innovative solutions in scalable and efficient AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI algorithms and software architectures for applications in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning.

• Conduct applied research to enhance model accuracy and optimize performance across frameworks and systems.

• Implement, test, and tune machine learning models for scalability and efficiency across hardware and software platforms.

• Collaborate with internal product teams and external partners in creating system-level AI solutions.

• Learn and apply advanced AI concepts through hands-on projects aligned with Intel's business goals.

• Familiarity with advanced silicon manufacturing processes

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Active student pursuing a PhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence with no prior professional experience required.

Experience or coursework in 2 of the following:

• Programming languages such as Python.

• Machine learning engineering fundamentals and frameworks.

• AI fundamentals, algorithms, and optimization techniques.

• Mathematical skills applied to AI-related problem-solving.

• Logic design of cells, circuits, and blocks.

• Design and Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO).

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $142,900.00-193,400.00 USD
