Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of civil land development projects from proposal development through project closeout.
- Develop project scopes, fee proposals, budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project financial performance, labor utilization, budgets, and profitability, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Serve as the Engineer of Record, preparing and reviewing engineering plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and technical excellence throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, assigning work, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships through proactive communication and responsive service.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to support operational initiatives, continuous improvement, and strategic growth.
- Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and client-focused project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- 8+ experience managing civil land development projects from planning through construction.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring engineering professionals.
- Strong understanding of land development design principles, permitting processes, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to develop project scopes, fee proposals, budgets, schedules, and manage project financial performance.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering design software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
- Business development experience and an established professional network are a plus.
