Job Summary
SHI is seeking an outstanding storyteller to discover, develop, and amplify stories that strengthen SHI’s brand, showcase customer success, elevate sponsorship investments, and demonstrate SHI’s value to customers, partners, and the broader technology community.This multi-disciplinary role combines storytelling, customer advocacy, content strategy, and creative development to transform real-world business outcomes into compelling brand experiences. Through interviews, research, and collaboration with customers, strategic partners, executives, employees, sponsorship properties, and subject matter experts, the Content Marketing Manager will develop impactful narratives that build trust, deepen customer relationships, and reinforce what makes SHI unique.
Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Sponsorships and Customer Advocacy, this position sits at the intersection of Customer Advocacy, Sponsorships, and Brand Marketing and plays a critical role in creating and scaling SHI’s "Why SHI" narrative.
Role Description
Own the storytelling process from discovery through activation by identifying stories, uncovering insights, shaping narratives, developing content, and collaborating with creative teams to bring stories to life across multiple platforms and audiences.
Partner closely with Sponsorships and Customer Advocacy teams to identify opportunities to showcase customer success, strategic partnerships, and sponsorship investments.
Conduct interviews and research with customers, executives, sponsorship partners, employees, and subject matter experts to uncover meaningful stories and business outcomes.
Develop customer success stories, executive profiles, advocacy content, sponsorship impact stories, thought leadership assets, and brand narratives.
Create compelling content that demonstrates the value SHI delivers through technology solutions, services, partnerships, and innovation.
Translate complex technology concepts, customer challenges, and business outcomes into engaging, audience-focused narratives.
Identify recurring customer themes, market trends, and differentiators that strengthen SHI’s brand positioning and "Why SHI" story.
Support customer advocacy initiatives through the development of customer references, case studies, testimonials, speaking opportunities, award submissions, and related content assets.
Capture and amplify stories from sponsorship activations, executive events, customer hospitality programs, and strategic partnerships.
Evaluate storytelling opportunities and recommend formats, channels, and distribution strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and business impact.
Partner with creative, communications, social media, video, events, and demand generation teams to develop integrated storytelling campaigns.
Serve as the connective thread between customers, marketing teams, executives, sales stakeholders, sponsorship partners, and creative teams to ensure stories are authentic, strategic, and impactful.
Support content development for sponsorship programs, customer events, advocacy initiatives, executive communications, integrated marketing campaigns, and brand awareness efforts.
Measure and report on storytelling initiatives that contribute to customer engagement, brand awareness, advocacy outcomes, and marketing objectives.
Identify opportunities to leverage customer and sponsorship stories to support sales enablement, business development, event marketing, and executive engagement strategies.

Other Requirements
Completed Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, English, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in content creation, brand storytelling, customer advocacy, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
Proven experience interviewing customers, executives, or industry leaders and translating conversations into compelling content.
SHI experience is not required but may be beneficial for the right candidate.
Preferred:
Experience within the IT industry, including managed services, cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI, or other B2B technology environments, with an understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and content strategy.
Experience developing customer advocacy programs, customer reference content, customer marketing initiatives, executive thought leadership content, and sponsorship, partnership, hospitality, or event marketing programs.
Strong editorial judgment and content development expertise, with experience in multimedia storytelling, video, podcast, social media, and marketing analytics; able to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams while maintaining a passion for customer storytelling, relationship building, and brand development.
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
