Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
Position Overview
The Quality Control Associate at Aesop is to guarantee that all parts meet the necessary quality standards that Aesop stands for and that customers receive their required parts promptly and efficiently. Quality Control personnel assume a critical role in fulfilling Aesop's overall mission of providing its customers with high-quality, dependable, and reasonably priced parts by performing inspections, detecting defects, documenting records, and notifying the sales team.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Customer Relations – Internal and External
- Play a critical role in customer service by ensuring products meet the required quality standards to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork; ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Work with other department associates to help ensure that parts are cleaned, processed, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
2. Quality Control Process
- Follow specific procedures for inspecting and grading auto parts.
- Ensure parts are accurately graded and inspected before they are shipped. Inspect all parts sold to ensure they meet quality standards and match their descriptions.
- Identifying and documenting any defects or issues with parts that do not meet the required quality standards and notifying the sales team departments.
- Ensure that all shipped products meet the required quality standards, including packaging, labeling, and documentation (as needed).
- Maintain accurate logs.
- Loading and unloading auto parts using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as necessary
3. Continuous Improvement
- Continuously improve quality processes and procedures to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction by identifying opportunities for process improvement.
4. Safety
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all procedures and protocols to avoid accidents and injuries; deploy oil spill kits, conduct equipment checks, and maintain knowledge of first aid kit and other emergency equipment locations.
5. Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- One year of experience in automotive and material handling equipment experience, preferred.
- Forklift Certificate preferred.
- Automotive knowledge and experience preferred.
- Knowledge of safe usage of hand and power tools; including basic yard equipment such as pallet jacks and pressure washers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required with a commitment to act with an elevated level of professionalism during all transactions both internally and externally.
- Basic knowledge and utilization of computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). Ability to learn new programs.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Must be able to work effectively alone or with others in a team environment.
- Must be able to work collaboratively across functions. Share expertise with others.
- Must be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to meet timelines and schedules related to essential functions described above.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the workday in a staging area.
- Must be able to remain in and operate equipment in a workstation mainly indoors.
- Work in an area equipped with forklifts, chain hoists, and other tools as needed.
- Occasionally move about a salvage yard in outdoor varying weather conditions.
- Ability to use both hands regularly with enough dexterity to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry objects and materials up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Expected work hours are based on role and location
- Ability to work occasional overtime as needed as determined by the employee’s supervisor.
