| Ability to: | - Interpret relevant ordinances and laws.

| - Access construction sites to complete inspections in hard-to-reach areas and physically restrictive environments.

| - Work with employees, other City departments, contractors, design professionals, and citizens as needed to effectively apply, enforce, and resolve building code related issues.

| - Make mathematical calculations and draw logical conclusions; work with fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and measurements.
| - Write reports, prepare business letters, summaries, and compose emails in a clear and professional manner.
| - Use levels, tape measures, flashlights, calculators, ladders, pressure gauges, temperature gauges, shoe covers, and applicable safety equipment.
| - Drive a City vehicle between facilities and inspection sites.
| - Operate general office equipment to include scanner, printer, copier, telephone, and computer with Microsoft Office Suite.
| - Utilize specialized software and systems to include code compliance software and smart tablet.
