Job Summary:

This position will assist the Production Shift Resource, act as the backup (when Shift Resource is out) and serve as relief if needed. The Shift Lead will share responsibility with the Shift Resource for the safety and productivity of all production team members on the designated shift.

 

Factory Location: Lee, FLCompensation:  $32.00 / hour Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked Schedule:  Flexibility to work, Days or Nights Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety guidelines are being followed by all members of the production team
• Assist Production Shift Resource/Take the lead (as needed) during any safety issues (incidents, accidents, first-aid)
• Become a first responder
• Ensure all quality guidelines are being followed by all members of the production team and we are producing the best quality product at all times
• Assist Production Shift Resource/Take the lead (as needed) during any quality HOLD situations
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by coaching, helping to create & adhering to 5S/CIL/Housekeeping standards
• Actively demonstrate positive behaviors becoming a role model for initiative & self-development
• Train new employees and coach current employees on improvement tools & their application (ex: GSTDs, CILs)
• Ensure that all staffing requirements are met and be able to rearrange staffing based on needs
• Enable effective communication by strengthening the use of standardized documentation & communication
• Ability to identify process failures and top losses when they happen and coach the team through problem solving
• Ensure that SBO’s are completed by all team members by removing barriers & enabling actions
• Make recommendations & drive continuous improvement to increase productivity and morale
• History of creating and updating standards to drive operational discipline – must show examples of improvements without being directed
• Supply performance evaluations for new hires
• Participate in and evaluate SHO process and support any gaps
• Support prioritization based on production needs

Qualifications

• Understanding of Enact quality checks that must be done
• Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities & initiative to launch troubleshooting when appropriate
• Ability to motivate others to complete assignments (CIL, SHO, Quality, Safety etc.) and hold the team accountable when they are not meeting expectations
• Effective & impactful communication skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to coach others in the creation of standards/OPL’s/Maps
• Ability to build relationships as a trustworthy & fair team member
