We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team.
We are seeking for an experienced Drilling Technician to join our team in Mashonaland West (Zimbabwe).
Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities
Coordinate drilling activities with production, blasting, surveying, and mine planning teams.
Supervise drilling crews, manage rosters, work assignments, and resource allocation.
Monitor drilling KPIs such as, penetration rates, equipment utilization, downtime and production performance.
Conduct pit inspections to verify compliance with mine plans and drilling designs.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to maximize equipment availability.
Prepare daily, weekly, and shift production reports.
Implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with mining regulations, company procedures, SOPs, and Permit-to-Work systems.
Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
Promote a strong safety culture through field leadership.
Participate in incident investigations and CAPA implementation.
Identify and correct unsafe acts and conditions.
Environmental Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with environmental management plans.
Support dust suppression and water management programs.
Monitor drilling activities to minimize environmental impacts.
Support spill prevention and rehabilitation activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering (mandatory)
Valid Blasting License (mandatory).
At least 1 year experience in - Open-pit mining, or Large-scale earthmoving operations
Ability to interpret mine plans and production reports
Familiarity with, fleet management systems, production monitoring software
