Quality Assurance Manager

You will ensure that all manufactured products meet both internal and end customer requirements for quality for a manufacturing site. You will lead the QMS for the site and ensure it meets requirements for certifications and align with the PPG Global QMS standards. You will promote and demonstrate a culture of quality through communication, awareness activities, and action. You will ensure the quality team has the required competencies through training and qualification programs to support Quality Management (QM) goals and continuous improvement. You will participate as a member of the PPG Quality Regional Leaders Network. You will report directly to Plant Manager, Yen Phong Plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the site management team to set quality goals​
• Lead the QMS for the site and ensure it meets requirements for certifications and align with the PPG Global QMS standards.
• Lead the use of a quality management system through influence leadership​
• Use and Grow the QMS observing industry standards and customer expectations/customer scorecards documented through 3rd party registration/ certification.​
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control processes to ensure product performance requirements are met, while documenting, analyzing, and communicating quality findings and improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders
• Lead cause investigations for quality issues and lead data-driven decision-making to implement cost-efficient solutions without compromising product quality, while ensuring closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage an internal audit program to ensure product conformity in final product and identify improvement opportunities​
• Develop and implement MOC process for any quality related changes​
• Analyze QMS performance data, including non-conformances, yield losses, and customer disruptions, while tracking corrective and preventive actions to ensure closure and guide improvement.​​
• Ensure that the quality team is competent; Tracks and manage development for QM purpose​

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree preferred in either Quality, Engineering, or relevant.
• Five (5) years of QA experience in manufacturing industry with minimum 2 years of management experience
• Experience handling customer complaints including the containment process and applying root cause analysis
• Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO 14001
• Certified Lead Auditor and 6 Sigma Green Belt is plus
• Good English proficiency
