Technical Sales Advisor | Tanzania & Rwanda

IQVIA's client company is seeking a dynamic, technically skilled, and customer-focused Technical Sales Advisor to support business growth across Tanzania and Rwanda. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer engagement and business development.
As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs, recommend suitable solutions, and deliver exceptional service while driving sales performance and long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise & Product Support
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products, solutions, and applications.
- Provide expert technical guidance and recommendations to customers.
- Clearly communicate product features, functionality, and benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support customers with technical queries and solution recommendations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and identify appropriate technical solutions.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries and concerns.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
- Promote and sell the company's products and services to achieve sales objectives.
- Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and presentations.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and solution recommendations.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within the CRM system.
- Prepare monthly sales and activity reports.
- Ensure sales documentation and customer information are updated and compliant with company procedures.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Provide customer feedback and market insights to management.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements and business growth.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in technical sales, customer service, or a related technical advisory role.
- Strong understanding of technical products and the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience building and maintaining professional customer relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Animal Nutrition, Sales & Marketing, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience within a technical, agricultural, animal health, or industrial sales environment would be advantageous.
