Generations at Applewood in Matteson, IL, seeks an EXPERIENCED CNA SUPERVISOR WHO WILL ALSO DO SCHEDULING FOR THE NURSING DEPARTMENT. This is a full-time position and the Pay Rate is $24-29 per hour based on experience and benefits chosen.*

Our facility uses On-Shift for block scheduling and communicating with staff. This helps push out available shifts to staff to pick up as we DO NOT use agency.
*Top rate of $29 ph is a 'No Benefit' rate. Actual rate will depend on which benefit package is chosen and level of experience with scheduling.
Responsibilities of the CNA Unit Manager:
- Oversee units and CNAS
- Do the Master Schedule all nursing staff but only staff replacements for CNA call-offs
- Act as an educator and resource for CNA staff
- Train and Mentor CNAs during orientation and as needed on job duties and expectations
- Attend daily staff meetings to ensure transfer of information is complete and accurate
- Review CNA documentation to ensure that it is complete
- Conduct regular rounds to supervise CNAs and ensure residents are being turned and repositioned in accordance with policy and procedure
- Foster relationships with CNAs and nursing staff to promote an optimal working environment and contribute to staff retention
Requirements
of the CNA Unit Manager
- Must be CNA, registered in Illinois
- CNA and Scheduling experience
- OnShift experience a definite plus!
- Experience in a supervisory role highly desirable
- Experience in a long term care facility
- Proven leadership capabilities, build relationships and trust
- Treat employees with respect and with a collaborative demeanor
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
