Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting Small Business Banking clients in the end-to-end fulfillment of conventional and Small Business Administration (SBA) credit requests. Key responsibilities include supporting specific credit transactions such as product fit, application submission, and monitoring loan fulfillment, understanding the customers credit and treasury needs, and recommending solutions which lead to deeper relationships and increased client satisfaction. Job expectations include partnering with teams on driving initiatives, performance, and credit growth.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the Small Business Bankers (SBB) and field sales to confirm credit opportunities for product fit, industry fit, and deal structuring
- Works with clients during the credit process to provide credit expertise, maintain the credit pipeline, and deliver an enhanced client experience
- Contributes to the division credit performance by partnering with credit fulfillment and enablement to build better processes and efficiencies in the end-to-end Small Business credit process
- Supports credit transactions by deepening client relationships and serving as the main point of contact for the Small Business Bankers (SBB), field sales, fulfillment team, and the client throughout the process to deliver an exceptional client experience
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial lending, financial credit analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management
- Strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring
- Commercial credit and treasury acumen developed through formal training and proven sales experience, with the ability to provide coaching on credit and treasury sales
- Client-facing relationship management experience
- Ability to clearly articulate the business plan to Small Business Bankers
- Prior sales experience with a proven track record
- Proven ability to quickly create credible relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills/experience
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Partner effectively with sales leadership to drive / support line of business performance
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs/requirements
- Must be a self-starter
- Note that role is phone based; must be willing to work in this environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Small Business acumen (strategy, operations, sales model and product knowledge)
- Demonstrated associate coaching and development success
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and action planning
- Experience with pipeline development and management
- Mid-level Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and WebEx experience
