Job Title: Beverage Cart/ Halfway House Attendant Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: F&B Manager Effective Date: July 2026
Job Summary:
The Halfway House & Beverage Cart Attendant provides exceptional service to members and guests by preparing and serving food, beverages, and golf course refreshments. This position rotates between operating the Halfway House snack bar and driving the beverage cart throughout the golf course based on daily operational needs. The attendant is responsible for stocking their station, maintaining product quality, ensuring accurate member billing, providing outstanding hospitality, and creating a positive member experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Halfway House Operations
- Prepare and serve sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks, beverages, and other menu items.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations.
- Restock food, beverages, and supplies throughout the shift.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Open and close the Halfway House according to established procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.
Beverage Cart Operations
- Safely operate the beverage cart throughout the golf course.
- Offer beverages, snacks, and food items to golfers in a courteous manner.
- Maintain proper inventory levels on the beverage cart.
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and member charge transactions.
- Verify age identification and comply with all alcohol service laws and Club policies.
- Keep the beverage cart clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Return unused inventory and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
General Responsibilities
- Promote a welcoming and hospitality-focused atmosphere.
- Resolve routine member concerns or notify management when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of all assigned work areas.
- Follow all health department and sanitation regulations.
- Properly store food and beverages.
- Report equipment issues or maintenance concerns.
- Assist with inventory counts as assigned.
- Support other Food & Beverage operations when business demands require.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be at least 21 years old
Previous customer service or food and beverage experience preferred.
Golf course or country club experience is helpful but not required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Dependable, professional, and team oriented.
Physical Requirements:
This position regularly works both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Employees should be comfortable working around golf operations, food service equipment, and moving golf carts while maintaining a professional appearance and exceptional member service.
Must be able to lift up to 45lbs
