  • Solve complex technical challenges with consideration for scalability, security, maintainability, reusability, and performance.
  • Promote strong engineering practices through code reviews, technical guidance, developer tooling, testing patterns, and team-defined standards.
  • Take ownership of difficult technical tasks, refactors, blockers, and areas requiring deeper research or cross-team coordination.

Team Leadership and People Development

  • Lead a small team of developers through regular management practices, including coaching, feedback, career development, onboarding, and team support.

Engineering Judgment

  • Proven ability to architect features, plan implementation from start to finish, and make sound technical decisions.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous product requirements and deliver effective solutions that balance business needs, technical standards, and team capacity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the judgment to know when to research, when to ask questions, and when to move forward.
  • A big-picture approach to development, with consideration for long-term product health, security, scalability, and maintainability.
