Case Aide I

Under general supervision, provides administrative services to social workers and supervisors in case management.  This position provides support to Social Workers within the agency.

Knowledge of human behavior.   Knowledge of available community resources.  Knowledge of child maltreatment and vulnerable adult reporting laws.  Ability to lead groups.  Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients.   Ability to plan and organize work effectively.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Knowledge of interviewing techniques.  Effective oral and written communication skills with the public, law enforcement, public health, other public agencies, and other county employees.   Knowledgeable regarding health insurance, Medicare, prescription drug program and medical institution billing practice is preferred. Knowledge of Human Service delivery systems, as well as managed care organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in social work or business administration preferred or; 2-year Associate’s Degree in Business or Office Administration with 3-years’ experience. Or 3 years of experience in a similar position within the Human Services field.

Word processing and spreadsheet competency required.   Willingness to learn additional software as needed for the position is required.  Ability to learn and use required web-based programs required.   Familiarity and ability to navigate web sites pertinent to the position.
