We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Welder to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. The Welder will use hand-welding equipment to weld or join metal components together. Tack and seam weld various flat and pre-formed sheet metal components into a completed assembly. Able to work with a robotic welder.

Responsibilities

•  Regular predictable attendance required.
• Responsible for cleanliness and orderliness of machine and surrounding area.
• Keep pace with production schedule.
• Suggest improvements to currently accepted process
• Ability to use measurement tools to inspect production as it comes off machine and log results.
• Ability to follow instructions. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machine.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machine.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and resolve machine issues according to specifications
• Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
• Monitor welding performance such as quality and efficiency
• Follow written and verbal details to complete assignments or jobs.
• Record time accurately including time and attendance and labor reporting data.
• Weld products using fixtures to specifications with minimum supervision.
• Set-up and maintain machines including changing wire, changing gas, and cleaning nozzles.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, write and read English-bilingual a plus. 
• Ability to reading, math, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with machine controls / touchscreens
• Education Level: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to get along and work effectively with others.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions
• 2-years of Mig / Tig welding experience of steel, stainless steel and aluminum in a production environment. Emphasis on working with aluminum. 
• Must also possess the ability to take direction from supervision to optimize productivity.
• The ability to read and understand blueprints, follow proper safety procedures, good eye-hand coordination, and physical stamina.
• Ability to adjust weld settings and processes for different conditions to achieve highest quality welds.
• Able to program and adjust robotic welder
• Ability to lift 0 – 30 lbs. without assistance and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Identify types of joints and welds. 
• Ability to Mig / Tig steel, stainless steel and aluminum products. Emphasis on aluminum.
• Proficiency in usage of tools such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper to perform accurate measurements per specific print and drawing tolerance. 
• Experience working with/on a robotic weld cell.
• Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITION:

• Must be able to wear required safety equipment including respirators, welding face shield, gloves and jackets.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed.
• Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/working with handheld equipment 8+ hour shift(s)
• Must have the ability to push, pull material and equipment as needed.

This position is at our Elk Grove Village, IL location.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

The base salary for this role will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
