What you'll do...
As a General Manager at a Walmart Grocery Distribution Center, you will lead one of the company's most critical supply chain operations, ensuring millions of customers receive fresh, quality products on time. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence across safety, service, quality, productivity, and associate engagement while developing a high-performing leadership team and fostering a culture rooted in Walmart's values. What You'll Do Lead Facility Operations- Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the distribution center, ensuring achievement of operational, financial, safety, and customer service goals.
- Drive performance across key areas including throughput, inventory accuracy, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall facility performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of operations leaders and associates.
- Foster an inclusive culture where associates feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
- Oversee talent planning, succession management, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and leadership development.
- Create opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement.
- Champion a culture of safety and accountability throughout the facility.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and distribution center operating procedures.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks while maintaining the highest standards of quality and execution.
- Own facility financial results, including operating expenses, labor costs, capital investments, and asset utilization.
- Analyze business performance metrics and operational reports to make informed decisions that improve productivity and profitability.
- Align resources and staffing plans to support changing business demands.
- Use data, analytics, and operational insights to identify trends, solve complex problems, and improve performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, drive efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Support adoption of new technologies, processes, and best practices across the operation.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Transportation, Merchandising, Store Operations, Human Resources, and other cross-functional partners to deliver business objectives.
- Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns through effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Build strong relationships that drive alignment and execution across the network.
- Serve as a visible leader in the local community by supporting charitable initiatives, community partnerships, and company-sponsored events.
- Promote Walmart's culture and values both inside and outside the organization.

The annual salary range for this position is $180,000.00 - $270,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
