Description
If you’re looking for a progressive and rewarding career and you thrive in a fast-paced, fun and team-orientated environment, then look no further!
Overview of Vax:
Our heritage-rich, expert-led business has always had the same goal: to prioritize innovation and to design easy-to-use products that seamlessly integrate into our customers' lives, offering reliable, quick solutions to cleaning homes, whatever the mess.
Vax has forged its reputation as a brand that focuses on the needs of its customers. Our culture of innovation is at the heart of everything we do and we work hard to constantly think of new ways to improve our products, ensuring that we deliver premium quality products for our customers.
We're looking for a commercially focused Marketing Manager to lead Amazon growth, taking a strategic, end-to-end approach across product, content, pricing, media, availability and conversion. Working closely with the Amazon SNAM and agency partners, you'll shape sales strategies, drive investment decisions, and uncover opportunities for growth across the UK, with exciting scope to expand into Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Own the performance of Amazon marketing activity, with a clear focus on profitable revenue growth, customer acquisition and return on investment.
- Competitor activity, pricing, rankings, inventory and consumer demand can change quickly, so we need someone who is constantly curious, commercially sharp and comfortable making proposals and actions at pace.
- Develop and execute performance strategies across Amazon Advertising, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and other relevant opportunities. Reporting improvements will be key to showcase success and ROI.
- Balance growth, efficiency and profitability — understanding when to push investment, when to optimise and when to pull back.
- Identify opportunities to increase share, improve ranking and accelerate priority products and categories.
- Connect media performance with the wider Amazon ecosystem, including product selection and assortment, pricing and promotional competitiveness, availability and inventory, search visibility and organic ranking, video and A+ content. Working with the wider business you’ll support content optimisation, reporting outputs and strategy optimisation to drive success.
- Enhance the brand experience and product performance with initiatives to improve, ratings, reviews and PDP conversion, developing ways to showcase this with the wider business.
- Share knowledge and insights to the wider team to support the optimisation of activity in other channels, the promotional calendar and overall retail sales goal.
- Manage the Retail Marketing Exec that supports the wider retail marketing strategy with execution and reporting.
Essential Skills:
- You will be comfortable to challenge the business when any part of the customer journey is limiting our ability to convert demand or maximise investment.
- Work collaboratively with the sales, marketing, product and supply teams to ensure we are aligned on best strategy for success, and using insights and data to drive decisions.
- A very high level of attention to detail, seeking to drive performance through optimised copy and content, measured in comprehensive reports.
- Thrive in an agile and fast paced environment, where change is embraced and testing and learning is welcomed to promote growth.
- Driven by data, where measurements like ROAS, ACOS and TACOS can be translated to true impact to the business.
- Proven success growing brands or products on Amazon. You will be able to demonstrate where your decisions and activity have materially increased sales, improved efficiency and/or delivered profitable market share growth.
- Most importantly, you’ll have a strong sense of ownership. You’ll treat Amazon performance as something to actively manage and influence every day.
Experience:
- Ideally 5 years plus, managing 1P Amazon investment and performance accounts
- Strong marketing background from content management to strategy and measurement.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to connect marketing metrics to revenue, margin and profitability.
- Experience working within a high-volume consumer goods, appliances, technology or similarly competitive category.
