People, Culture and Capability - WoW, Program Delivery & Change Chapter Area oversees Telstra's program delivery and change management functions.​

The Change Senior Specialist will collaborate with leaders to strategize change plans, conduct impact assessments to understand how changes affect individuals, and create detailed change and communication plans. You will oversee the implementation of these strategies, ensuring sustainable integration, and manage the end-to-end process from planning through embedding changes into routine operations.

Focus of the Role

As a Change Senior Specialist, you will design, develop, execute, and report on change management plans for Telstra. Your interpersonal skills will help you engage with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver change initiatives on time and within budget. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for our customers and business.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity within our Change Practice, supporting projects ranging from people and culture initiatives through to large-scale technology and business transformation programs.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and deliver end-to-end change management activities across a range of business and technology projects.
• Develop and implement change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, communication plans, and adoption approaches.
• Partner with project teams and business leaders to embed sustainable change outcomes.
• Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to build commitment and readiness for change. 
• Identify and manage change risks, barriers, and adoption challenges.
• Support initiatives ranging from smaller business projects through to enterprise-wide transformation programs.
• Work autonomously in complex and sometimes ambiguous environments while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes.

About you

To be successful in the role, you must have a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive transformational change. You have expertise in: 

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Change Specialist, Change Manager, or equivalent role.
• Strong experience delivering end-to-end organisational change across multiple project types and business functions.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship management skills.
• Experience supporting both business and technology transformation initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving capability and ability to navigate complex organisational environments.
