Job Summary

The Supplier Operations Manager (SOM) is responsible for driving the execution of labor operations through strong operational rigor, governance, and supplier engagement. This role works closely with external vendors to ensure workforce capacity, performance, productivity, and compliance align with business objectives. The SOM owns key operational metrics, monitors supplier performance, drives corrective actions, and supports business-critical escalations to ensure service delivery and customer commitments are met. Serving as the primary operational interface between the business and suppliers, the SOM leads execution, resolves operational challenges, and drives continuous improvement to deliver business outcomes and financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary operational interface between the business and external suppliers, fostering strong partnerships and driving accountability for operational outcomes.
  • Drive the execution of labor operations by ensuring supplier staffing, workforce planning, capacity management, and delivery activities align with business requirements and service commitments.
  • Own and monitor key operational metrics, analyzing performance trends, identifying risks, and driving corrective actions to achieve service, productivity, quality, and financial objectives.
  • Own the execution of Monthly Operational Reviews (MORs), leveraging operational metrics and business insights to drive supplier accountability, performance improvement, risk mitigation, and business outcomes.
  • Lead operational governance routines with suppliers, including MORs, performance reviews, business reviews, action plan tracking, and compliance monitoring.
  • Manage and coordinate operational escalations, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and supplier partners to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and minimize business impact.
  • Partner with suppliers to identify and implement process improvements, productivity initiatives, and operational efficiencies that enhance service delivery and business performance.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, operational policies, workforce guidelines, and regulatory requirements across supplier operations.
  • Conduct business analysis to identify root causes of operational challenges and develop data-driven recommendations to improve performance, optimize labor investments, and improve operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to support workforce strategies, supplier transitions, operational transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Drive operational rigor through effective planning, execution tracking, risk management, and governance processes to ensure consistent and predictable business outcomes.
  • Support financial management activities related to supplier operations, including productivity tracking, labor utilization, capacity planning, forecasting, and budget adherence.
  • Provide operational leadership and guidance across supplier-facing initiatives, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in service business management, delivery, solution architecting, business planning, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
