Description
Overview
A warm, thoughtful family in the Cascade Canyon neighborhood of Mill Valley, CA is seeking two experienced Newborn Care Specialists (NCS) to provide overnight newborn care and support following the arrival of their second child, due January 24, 2027, for approximately 3 to 4 months. Their first child was born 10 days early.
The family is hoping to establish a consistent, reliable overnight care arrangement that allows the parents to rest and recover while feeling confident that their newborn is in capable, attentive hands. The family would like to engage two NCS professionals who can share coverage, preferably individuals who have worked together previously and have a compatible approach to newborn care.
The ideal team will bring substantial hands-on newborn experience, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and a calm, reassuring presence. The family values collaboration and evidence-based safety practices, and appreciates a specialist who can share knowledge, explain recommendations, and adapt to the family's preferences without being overly rigid or prescriptive.
The family is open to discussing slight schedule alterations for the right candidates, but the preferred option is:
One NCS Monday–Friday and a second NCS Saturday–Sunday.
A second option may be one NCS Monday–Thursday and a second NCS Friday–Sunday.
The hours will generally be 9:00 PM–7:00 AM.
Candidates who have previously worked successfully with another NCS and can offer a consistent, collaborative overnight care arrangement are especially encouraged to apply. Local candidates are preferred, as accommodations will not be provided.
