About the Position

This position requires a dependable, service-driven individual to serve as a key support member in the daily operations of the Pelican Bay Community Center. This full-time position is responsible for performing a broad range of hands-on operational and event support functions that help ensure the Community Center runs smoothly and delivers an exceptional experience to every member who walks through the door.

The Room Setup & Facilities Technician works under the direction of the Lead Facilities Technician and plays an essential role in the physical execution of meeting room configurations, facility upkeep, public area maintenance, and hospitality support services throughout the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented team member who takes pride in delivering a clean, organized, and fully operational environment for all guests, staff, and stakeholders on a consistent basis. What You'll Do

  • Set up and break down all meeting and conference rooms according to requested layouts in a timely manner, accommodating scheduling changes and last-minute requests as directed by the Lead Facilities Technician.
  • Inspect and clean each assigned room before every meeting or event, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and supplies are in order and reporting space readiness to the Lead Facilities Technician prior to each event.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of all public and administrative areas throughout each shift, promptly addressing any cleaning or tidying needs to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Maintain, clean, and restock all coffee machines and beverage equipment daily and weekly, reporting any malfunctions or supply shortages to the Lead Facilities Technician promptly.
  • Assist with facility linen needs, including collection, inventory, and laundering coordination, ensuring clean, pressed, and properly stored linens are consistently available to support all events and daily operations.
  • Monitor operational supply levels and communicate inventory needs to the Lead Facilities Technician in a timely manner to help prevent shortages or service interruptions.
  • Keep the facility kitchen clean, organized, and fully compliant with all applicable state health and sanitation standards, including proper waste disposal and removal of expired products.
  • Perform routine facility maintenance tasks — including cleaning AC vents, fan blades, windows, walls, floors, and baseboards — and report burned-out bulbs, damaged fixtures, or other maintenance concerns to the Lead Facilities Technician for timely resolution.
  • Provide professional, cooperative support to other departments — including food and beverage, event coordination, and administrative services — as directed and as operational needs arise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Facilities Technician or management, approaching all tasks with professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to the highest standards of service and facility excellence.
