The Director, Global Financial Planning & Analysis is the global functional leader responsible for defining and advancing Leica Biosystems’ enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and executive decision-support model.


This position reports to the Senior Director, Finance and is part of the Finance and Accounting Team located in Deer Park, IL and will be an on-site role.


In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Own the enterprise-wide financial planning and performance management framework, setting global standards, governance, assumptions, and operating mechanisms for budgeting, forecasting, actual reporting, and executive financial deliverables.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by translating complex financial and operational information into forward-looking insights and recommendations that influence enterprise targets, resource allocation, investments, productivity, and risk management.
  • Own and execute the global FP&A transformation roadmap, leveraging DBS, standard work, analytics, automation, systems, and approved digital capabilities to improve forecast accuracy, transparency, decision quality, and Finance productivity across Leica Biosystems.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional global initiatives and provide functional direction to Finance partners across regions, sites, and functions, creating alignment and accountability without reliance on formal reporting authority.
  • Anticipate emerging business challenges and lead scenario analysis and financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, recommending actions that strengthen financial performance, operational resilience, and long-term value creation.

 

Required Skills/Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of progressive Finance experience, including significant responsibility for global FP&A, enterprise planning, strategic decision support, performance management, and Finance transformation.
  • Recognized expertise in forecasting, scenario modelling, resource allocation, management reporting, and translating operational drivers into financial outcomes and actionable enterprise recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing scalable Finance operating models, governance, standard work, analytics, automation, and enterprise planning solutions, with experience across consolidation, ERP, data warehouse, and business-intelligence platforms.
  • Proven ability to advise CFO-level and other senior executives, lead complex multidisciplinary global initiatives through influence, constructively challenge assumptions, and exercise independent judgment on ambiguous issues with broad business impact.

Travel % of Travel, include approximate overnight stays per week

  • Travel expectations within this role are minimal (<10%)

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $200,000 to $220,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.


This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
