We are seeking a talented individual to join our Commercial Enablement CoE team at Marsh. This role will be based in Gurugram. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Lead Specialist – Proposal Specialist
The Commercial Enablement CoE function supports Strategic Bid Center while supporting Marsh across multiple geographies & businesses. You will be part of the Commercial Enablement function, primarily focusing on US employee health & benefits Consulting proposals (RFIs/RFPs). In this role, you will work closely with onshore stakeholders to deliver high-quality proposals within tight deadlines. A strong understanding of US Employee Health & benefits (RFPs) is essential to succeed in this position.
We will count on you to:
- Develop deep knowledge of the Employee Health & benefits business, service offerings, and client requirements by reviewing RFPs and collaborating closely with pursuit teams and strategists.
- Lead the preparation and final review of US employee health & benefits Consulting proposals (RFIs/RFPs), ensuring alignment with client scope, company standards, and timely delivery.
- Manage and enhance proposal content through template development, content database updates, and extraction of best practices to maintain consistency and quality.
- Coordinate with multiple onshore stakeholders to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and turnaround times (TATs), while addressing open items and internal queries efficiently.
- Utilize tools such as Dynamics CRM, QorusDocs, and SharePoint to streamline proposal development, submission, and documentation processes.
- Drive continuous process improvements, provide guidance to team members, and support training initiatives to elevate overall proposal effectiveness and team capability.
- Exhibit people management skills – Training, mentoring, grooming and coaching new hires in the team along with process optimization and delegation
What you need to have:
- Preferred postgraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Commerce, or other relevant fields.
- 8-10 years of experience in pre-sales or bid management within a professional services environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and external partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including advanced business writing, proofreading, and editing abilities.
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Advanced expertise in document management tools including SharePoint, Google Drive and other document management tools.
- Advance proficiency in using bid management tools including AutoRFP.ai/Loopio/RFPIO, Qvidian/QorusDocs/Altura.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize multiple tasks effectively, and maintain a strong customer service focus.
- Intermediate expertise in automation tools and large language models.
