The Role
Part of the broader Addepar Data organisation, you will be the primary authority on the operational administration and integrity of market data. This is a transformative leadership mandate: we are looking for an architect to take full ownership of the role, build the team, and evolve our market data operations into a best-in-class function that supports $9T+ in platform assets.

What You’ll Do
- Build & Transform: You are responsible for designing the roadmap for Market Data operations. You will lead, train, and mentor a high-performing team, turning the function into a centre of excellence that balances technical integrity with commercial agility.
- Mentorship: Actively upskill the team in complex licensing frameworks and data observability, ensuring every team member is an expert in the "Addepar way" of data management.
- Ownership: Take end-to-end accountability for the "who, what, and how" of data access, ensuring we stay ahead of audit requirements and vendor evolutions.
- Access Architecture: Manage and audit user access to market data (internal and external benchmark and market data) ensuring strict adherence to complex redistribution scenarios and vendor-specific restrictions.
- Audit Command: Lead the preparation and delivery of usage audits back to licensors, ensuring 100% compliance with all contractual clauses.
- Pipeline Supervision: Oversee daily market data pipeline workflows to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of pricing and reference data feeds.
- Data Quality Ownership: Perform internal verification checks to ensure data integrity (FX rates, corporate actions) and resolve exceptions to maintain high-quality standards.
- Compliance Framework: Maintain a Rights Management framework to monitor data implementation and usage, ensuring all derived content follows vendor terms of use.
- KPI & Metrics: Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) through automated dashboards to demonstrate operational health and team growth.
Who You Are
- The Builder Mindset: Extensive experience in financial data operations with a proven track record of leading teams and building processes from the ground up.
- Domain Authority: Comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments, benchmarks, and market data feeds, paired with a nuanced understanding of global licensing requirements.
- Regulatory Acumen: Expert knowledge of redistribution scenarios, competitor restrictions, and the legal implications of client data usage.
- Technical Proficiency: Fluent in SQL and data analysis tools to monitor feeds and troubleshoot processing exceptions.
- Analytical Precision: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of managing high-stakes audits and data validations.
- Vendor specific knowledge: eg. ICE, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Morningstar, S&P, MSCI, etc will be highly preferred
