Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, 401(k) with 4% company match, PTO, company vehicle, bonuses
We are partnering with a well-established residential construction firm specializing in custom remodeling and select new-build projects. They value professionalism, craftsmanship, and a high-touch, personalized experience.
The culture is collaborative, relationship-driven, and people-first, guided by core values of resourcefulness, excellence, and trust-based decision-making. The organization is entering a growth phase focused on clarity, accountability, and leadership development.
Overview
We are actively hiring for both a Project Manager and a Junior Project Manager to join our production team.
As a Project Manager, you lead day-to-day project management across a broad range of projects. You own scope, budget, schedule, and the client's experience on every job you run, and you bring strong management, organizational, and relationship skills to deliver a second-to-none experience for our clients, trade partners, vendors, and team.
What you will do
Lead projects from preconstruction handoff through final closeout, taking full ownership of project success, scope, budget, and schedule.
Serve as the client's primary point of contact, keeping homeowners informed daily through BuilderTrend and delivering weekly updates on progress, budget, and upcoming decisions.
Collaborate with estimators and design teams to confirm job scopes, plans, specifications, and material selections prior to work starting.
Develop, distribute, and help standardize Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and subcontractor bids.
Hold each job strictly to its budget, tracking budget-to-actual costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Document and obtain written approval for every change order before work proceeds.
Build, maintain, and update project schedules continuously, planning ahead and resolving field challenges proactively.
Source, evaluate, and manage trade partners, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure clean sequencing and on-time material delivery.
Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs to inspect quality, safety, cleanliness, site readiness, and regulatory compliance.
Schedule and attend required municipal inspections to secure all necessary approvals.
Execute strong project closeouts, ensuring all punch list items are complete within 30 days of substantial completion and job files are fully audited.
Participate in weekly production team rhythms, meetings, and one-on-ones, sharing constructive experience across the team to help maintain and improve company construction standards.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum 2+ years managing high-end custom residential or light commercial construction projects as a Project Manager or Superintendent.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction best practices, local building code requirements, and confidence reading blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Budget & Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage job budgets, track costs, and control variance throughout the project lifecycle.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction management software (BuilderTrend experience strongly preferred).
Communication & Relationships: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—including daily email updates to management and homeowners on status, costs, and issues—paired with strong networking abilities with clients, trade partners, and vendors.
Leadership & Execution: High level of organization, self-discipline, conflict management, negotiation skills, and follow-through across multiple active job sites.
Site Mobility: A valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly to jobsites across the Middle Tennessee area.
