Description
Responsible for the procurement function for the surgical suites and Central Processing asset inventories. This includes insuring all supplies are readily available for scheduled cases while maintaining a volume that is cost efficient. Oversees the inventory and procurement process.
Responsible for timely return of equipment and materials. Monitors the Inventory Coordinators workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility #1– 65%
Procurement of supplies for surgical services and central processing departments.
Physical stocking of supply locations from loading dock, to surgical services locations.
Place orders in our ERP system, and manage par levels of high value items in our inventory management system.
Responsibility #2 – 20%
Work closely with purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of procured items
Manage backorders, and assist clinical team in identifying substitute items
Maintain close relationship and regular communication with clinical teams and clinical management
Responsibility #3 – 15%
Monitor daily workflow of Inventory Coordinators and assist Operating Room Materials Manager with daily operations
Work closely with Operating Room Materials Manager in identifying operational efficiency opportunities
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Skills:
Inventory Management
Experience in leading small teams
Ability to work on a computer and be efficient in ordering practices in our ERP system and inventory management system
Experience:
Supply chain experience in a healthcare setting
