What you'll be doing
As a Co-op Student on the ETF Team at CIBC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a wide range of initiatives designed to strengthen CIBC’s position in the rapidly evolving ETF market. You will work closely with experienced professionals across the ETF team, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of ETF strategy development—from market research and idea generation, to implementation and post-launch analysis. This role will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in capital markets, investment management, and digital marketing, while offering opportunities to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive asset growth and support CIBC’s strategic objectives.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $56,500 to $77,000.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

- You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible, however, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for this role

How you'll succeed
- Strategic Development - Partner in the formulation of comprehensive ETF strategies that align with CIBC's overall investment objectives and market trends.
- Digital Engagement - Help initiatives to enhance CIBC's digital presence in the ETF space, utilizing social media, online platforms, and digital marketing strategies to reach a broader audience.
- Market Analysis - Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive positioning, and opportunities for product development within the ETF landscape.
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure cohesive messaging and effective execution of ETF strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work collaboratively across various departments, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure a unified approach to ETF strategy and execution.
