Your role at Clorox:
The Site Materials and Scheduling Management (MSM) Leader is responsible for the overall execution of Materials and Scheduling operations at the manufacturing facility. This role provides leadership for on-site MSM personnel while ensuring effective material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, supplier engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. The leader serves as the primary site liaison for materials and scheduling activities, partnering with Plant Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Business Unit MSM teams to optimize supply chain performance, improve manufacturing efficiency, support ERP system initiatives, and ensure uninterrupted material availability for production operations. The position is accountable for balancing customer service, inventory, working capital, supplier performance, and manufacturing objectives while driving operational excellence across the site.In this role, you will:
- Lead overall site Scheduling and Material Management (MSM) operations, including direct leadership of the Material Planner function.
- Schedule production work centers to meet customer service and inventory targets while minimizing changeover costs.
- Utilize SAP and other planning tools to optimize production scheduling and material planning while maintaining accurate planning system data.
- Report, analyze, and trend production performance; develop and present recommendations to network leadership to optimize site performance and meet network demand.
- Identify operational constraints and coordinate solutions with key business partners to support network requirements.
- Partner with the Scheduling Manager and Planning team to understand short-term demand requirements and collaborate with Plant Operations to address potential shortfalls.
- Maintain accurate work center capacity information to support effective production scheduling.
- Ensure production schedules comply with applicable regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Logistics Managers and Material Planners to ensure material availability for production schedules.
- Provide leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for MSM team members.
- Generate near-, mid-, and long-term material purchase orders to support manufacturing operations.
- Define and maintain MRP planning parameters, including lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQ), inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment settings.
- Execute inventory policies and monitor working capital performance.
- Own site material loss tracking, variance reporting, and inventory performance analysis.
- Identify recurring material constraints and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Ensure long-term supply continuity through supplier capacity reviews and risk assessments.
- Oversee production scheduling activities and support schedulers in optimizing manufacturing sequences.
- Establish regular supplier communication and monitor supplier performance.
- Serve as the primary site contact for MSM issue resolution and escalation.
- Partner with plant leadership to improve OEE, attainment, customer service, and profitability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
What we look for:
- Proven leadership experience in Production Scheduling, Material Planning, and Supply Chain Operations, including managing and developing planning teams.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing scheduling and capacity planning to balance customer service, inventory targets, and production efficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP/MRP systems and planning tools, including maintenance of planning master data, lead times, safety stock, MOQ, and replenishment parameters.
- Experience generating and managing production schedules that optimize manufacturing performance while minimizing changeovers and operational costs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze production, inventory, and operational performance data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Ability to identify and resolve operational and material constraints through cross-functional collaboration and proactive problem-solving.
- Experience partnering with Planning, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer demand and service requirements are met.
- Knowledge of work center capacity planning and manufacturing resource optimization.
- Understanding of quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing and production scheduling.
- Experience managing material procurement and inventory planning, including purchase order generation, inventory control, and working capital management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, material variance analysis, inventory accuracy, and material loss reduction.
- Experience conducting supplier performance management, supplier capacity planning, and supply risk assessments to ensure long-term supply continuity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance OEE, attainment, service levels, and profitability.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present recommendations to leadership.
- Experience with performance management, coaching, training, and employee development.
- Proven ability to serve as a key site leader for issue escalation, decision-making, and operational problem resolution.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on customer service, inventory optimization, operational excellence, and cost management.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or CPG environment.
- Experience leading both production scheduling and material management functions within a plant or manufacturing site.
- Experience using SAP ERP/APO, IBP, or similar planning systems.·

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $74,200 - $135,800
–Zone B: $68,000 - $124,500
–Zone C: $61,800 - $113,100
