🌟 Lead the Teams That Power the Patient Experience

Every patient journey starts with access to care—and behind every great patient experience is a strong leader making sure the right processes, people, and resources are in place.

As a Patient Access Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of Patient Access while leading teams responsible for registration, admissions, insurance verification, financial clearance, and patient flow. You'll help drive operational excellence, improve revenue cycle performance, and create an environment where both patients and team members can thrive.

If you're a collaborative leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and making a meaningful impact across the healthcare system, this role is for you.

💼 What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop Patient Access teams across assigned areas
  • Oversee registration, admissions, insurance verification, financial counseling, and patient flow operations
  • Monitor key revenue cycle metrics and work queues to support reimbursement and operational goals
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Analyze performance trends and implement process improvements
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and revenue cycle leaders to improve patient access and operational efficiency
  • Resolve escalated patient, account, and operational concerns
  • Support training, education, and ongoing development of Patient Access staff
  • Drive a culture focused on exceptional customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement

⚡ What Makes You Great in This Role

  • You know how to inspire and develop high-performing teams
  • You can balance patient experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift quickly
  • You use data to identify opportunities and drive results
  • You build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across departments
  • You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump in when needed

🧠 What You Bring

  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience managing patient access, registration, admissions, revenue cycle, or related healthcare operations
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, financial counseling, and payer requirements
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience improving workflows, processes, and operational performance
  • Proficiency with healthcare technology systems and Microsoft Office applications

📋 Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer service-related role, including healthcare, revenue cycle, registration, financial counseling, banking, or hospitality
  • At least 3 years of direct Patient Access experience (included in the 5 years above)

⭐ Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, CHAM or CHAA certification, Medical Assistant certification, or another medical specialty-based certification
  • 4+ years of experience as a Patient Access Representative, preferably in a hospital, Emergency Department (ED), or bed management setting
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, hospital Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADT) functions, and payer guidelines

🎯 Why This Role Matters

Patient Access is more than registration—it's the foundation of the patient experience and a critical driver of organizational success. Your leadership helps ensure patients receive timely, compassionate service while supporting operational efficiency, revenue integrity, and exceptional care delivery.

💙 Make a difference—by leading the teams that help patients access the care they need, when they need it most.
