Job Description
The Opportunity
Techwave is seeking a dynamic Client Engagement Partner to own, shape and grow strategic client relationships. This is a Techwave-wide, external client leadership role, not a position tied to one service line, industry vertical or technology domain. The role combines executive relationships, business understanding, transformation advisory, commercial ownership and delivery governance to create sustainable account growth.
The successful candidate will be a business and account owner with a proven record of engaging executive decision makers and influencing buying decisions in Techwave’s favor. The candidate will bring depth of experience in the client’s industry and fluency across a broad range of technology services aligned to Techwave’s strategy, enough to represent Techwave credibly at the executive table. They must understand Techwave’s service lines, identify where they can solve client priorities, mobilize the right specialists and retain ownership of the overall relationship and commercial outcome.
The Mandate
OWN
Be the senior relationship owner and trusted point of accountability.
UNDERSTAND
Know the client’s industry, business priorities and transformation roadmap.
CONNECT
Know Techwave’s service lines and connect the right capabilities to each opportunity.
PROTECT
Safeguard client trust, account health and delivery commitments.
GROW
Create whitespace, qualified pipeline and measurable expansion.
LEAD
Bring executive presence and momentum even when delivery is stable.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Ownership
- Own the relationship, account strategy and executive engagement model for assigned strategic accounts.
- Build trusted relationships with CXO, business, technology, procurement and transformation stakeholders.
- Understand the client’s industry, business model, operating priorities, investment agenda, organizational dynamics and transformation roadmap.
Account Growth & Commercial Ownership
- Develop account plans, stakeholder maps and whitespace strategies.
- Originate and convert opportunities across new business, renewals, upsell, cross-sell and account expansion.
- Own or materially influence revenue, pipeline, forecast, margin, profitability and P&L outcomes.
One Techwave Across the Client
- Understand Techwave’s service lines and connect client needs with Data & Analytics, AI/GenAI, Digital Engineering, Cloud, Infrastructure, SAP/ERP, Telecom, Utilities and other relevant services.
- Bring the right architects, SMEs, practices, sales and delivery leaders into the conversation while retaining overall ownership.
Executive Advisory & Transformation
- Lead business-focused conversations beyond the current project, contract or service line.
- Provide thought leadership, connect business challenges to transformation opportunities and influence client roadmaps and investment decisions.
- Demonstrate executive presence, relevant industry understanding and sufficient technology-services fluency to explain how Techwave can create measurable business value.
Commercial Leadership
- Lead or contribute materially to proposals, solution positioning, pricing, SOWs, renewals, contracts and commercial negotiations.
- Balance client value, delivery confidence, risk and sustainable commercial outcomes.
- Maintain visibility into client satisfaction, account health, retention, referenceability and growth potential.
Delivery Governance & Client Accountability
- Maintain executive oversight without becoming the day-to-day project or delivery manager.
- Ensure commitments, SLAs and agreed outcomes are governed and delivered.
- Identify risks early, own executive escalations and mobilize the right leaders to protect client trust.
What You Bring
- Demonstrated personal ownership of strategic enterprise accounts, including account size, scope, complexity and measurable outcomes.
- Meaningful revenue, P&L, margin or comparable commercial accountability, with quantified account-growth examples.
- Direct and sustained CXO and senior stakeholder relationships.
- Working knowledge of Techwave’s service lines and sufficient technology fluency to lead credible client conversations, without needing to be the deepest technical SME in each area.
- Experience in client advisory, opportunity shaping, account planning, pricing, SOWs, contracts and executive governance.
- Ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams without relying solely on direct authority.
- Strong articulation, commercial judgment, leadership, collaboration and risk-management capability.
Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience in client partnership, strategic account management, consulting, technology services or transformation-led environments.
- Proven success managing and growing complex global or enterprise client relationships.
- Industry experience in healthcare, manufacturing, banking, retail, telecom, utilities or similar sectors is valuable.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; an MBA or relevant business qualification is preferred.
Role Fit
RIGHT FIT
External client ownership; direct CXO relationships; account strategy; opportunity creation; measurable revenue and P&L growth; cross-service expansion; continued ownership from opportunity through outcome.
NOT THE RIGHT FIT
Internal management; competency or capability building; day-to-day delivery management; pure technical SME work without business and commercial ownership; or a non-technical relationship profile unable to understand the client industry and Techwave service lines.
The Distinction
This is an external client leadership and commercial growth role. The role is neither a pure technology specialist nor a technology-light relationship role. The Client Engagement Partner must combine business ownership, industry understanding and working knowledge of Techwave’s service lines to advise the client, mobilize expertise, protect commitments and grow the account. Success is defined by CXO trust, visible client ownership, measurable account growth and sustained accountability for the relationship and outcome.
