Purpose

The Product Field Marketing Specialist drives regional awareness, adoption, and sales of Reece VAP Plumbing products, digital solutions and value-added services. The role partners closely with branch, operations, merchandising, regional leadership, suppliers, and customers to ensure Product and Merchandising Directions are implemented consistently across the branch network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                              

  • Grow regional VAP sales by increasing branch and customer awareness, adoption, and selling confidence.
  • Equip branch teams to understand and consistently sell the full range of Reece VAP Plumbing products.
  • Implement Plumbing Directions and Merchandising Directions consistently across the branch network.
  • Conduct scheduled branch visits using a standard agenda for new products, directions, merchandising requirements, promotions, monthly VAP focus, and critical updates.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and training for staff and customers, involving branch teams whenever possible.
  • Support internal and external customers through site visits, issue resolution, and technical assistance.
  • Build strong relationships with operations, regional VPs, branch managers, merchandising partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Monitor market changes, competitors, like products, pricing, standards, and regulations, and capture branch feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support new branches and refurbishments, with focus on trade display setup and direction compliance.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • Regional VAP sales growth and adoption against agreed goals.
  • Branch compliance with Plumbing and Merchandising Directions.
  • Branch staff confidence and product knowledge, evidenced through training completion, coaching feedback, and observed selling behaviors.
  • Quality and cadence of branch/customer visits, follow-up actions, stakeholder communication, and customer issue resolution.

  • Communication and influence - Build relationships and influence operations, branches, merchandising, suppliers, and customers.
  • Training and facilitation - Present confidently, demonstrate products, and translate product knowledge for staff and customers.
  • Analytical mindset - Interpret data, market activity, product performance, and branch feedback to support informed decisions.
  • Technical/product expertise - Maintain current knowledge of VAP Plumbing products, standards, competitors, pricing, and regulatory changes.
  • Organizing and planning - Manage schedules, branch visits, customer appointments, follow-up actions, and competing priorities.
  • Bias for action and adaptability - Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Continuous improvement - Capture feedback and identify ways to improve directions, products, service, promotions, and customer experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant experience in product marketing, sales enablement, branch operations, wholesale distribution, plumbing products, or related field work.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region for branch visits, customer/site visits, demonstrations, and training.
